About
My Practice

Hours and Availability

I offer appointments on weekday mornings and afternoon, subject to availability. I do not see clients on weekends. Initial therapy appointments are two hours long and include a review of records and intake information, an assessment of current needs, and the development of a treatment plan. Subsequent individual sessions are typically 53 minutes long. I usually request that you bring a parent, spouse, or other relative or close friend to the initial interview in order to obtain mutliple perspectives on presenting issues. Depending on client goals, sessions can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or less frequently in order to address or reinforce specific target behaviors

Appointments

To schedule or cancel an appointment, please contact me at (609) 682-3115 or via email at drsella@drsella.com. The full fee is charged for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.  In these cases, the fee is not covered by insurance.

If you need to contact me between appointments, you can call and leave me a confidential voice message. I am the only person who accesses my voicemail. For scheduling purposes, you can also email me at drsella@drsella.com. If using email please keep in mind that all emails are retained in Internet service provider logs. I will make every effort to return your messages within 24 hours. If you need more immediate attention, you will need to access your local emergency room. Depending on the issue, it may be possible for us to schedule a session to address emerging concerns outside of your regular appointment times. Other times, it may not be possible to do so. I do not have coverage arrangements for non-scheduled appointments at this time, though I may be able to refer you to another psychologist who may have an opening in his/her schedule.

Payment

I currently accept most commercial Aetna insurance plans.  I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. If you  are insured by Aetna, you will be charged the copay amount at the time of service. Copay amounts vary by plan.  If your plan carries a deductible, you will need to pay my full Aetna-negotiated fee for sessions until the deductible has been met. After that, you will only be responsible for the copay. I will bill Aetna for the remainder of my fee using a secure website.  I will need to share your name, diagnosis, and type of service you received each time we meet in order for claims to be processed.

If you do not have insurance through Aetna, you will be charged for sessions at the time of service, and may then submit my receipt for possible reimbursement of some of that fee per your insurance company’s policy for out of network providers. Prospective clients who seek reimbursement are advised to contact their insurance companies to ask about reimbursement rates and procedures prior to commencing treatment. Those who do not seek reimbursement are not subject to session limits and will not have their diagnoses or any parts of their records reviewed by a third party payer.
